Support is available to help you resolve issues, disagreements or disputes with your employer.

Steps you can take to resolve an issue

  1. Speak to your employer about the issue and the impact it’s having on you.
  2. If you can’t work it out together, we can provide you with advice and information about your and your employer’s responsibilities.
For more information, call the Infoline on 1800 673 097.
  3. We can also meet with you and your employer to help you both understand your responsibilities and the options available under an apprenticeship or traineeship.

  4. If the issue is still unresolved after speaking with us, you can lodge your dispute with the South Australian Employment Tribunal (SAET). The SAET will arrange a conciliation conference with you and your employer. Most employers and apprentices come to an agreement at the conference.

For more information and to lodge an application, visit the South Australian Employment Tribunal.
